"Random" by Allison Lee

The work of Austin Peay printmaking students and recent alumni is currently being exhibited at the Frist Center in Nashville as part of a summer-long college printmaking show —“New Edition – College Printmakers” exhibition featuring. Austin Peay prints will be on display until May 31, 2009 outside the educational / art making area. The following students or graduates and the corresponding prints are included in the show:

Drive-By Press is Coming to APSU

On Monday November 10, the Drive-By Press will be visiting APSU. They will be in front of the UC from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m selling hand printed woodblock t-shirts and they will present a lecture at 5:30 in Trahern Room 404.

Michael Sarich Lecture at APSU

On March 27, the Department of Art will welcome Michael Sarich as a visitng artist and speaker. Sarich was raised in Chicago and currently lives and works in Nevada. Much of the imagery in Sarich’s work involves religious iconography, double meaning and metaphor, as well as issues of passage and chance. Sarich works in a variety of media including printmaking, painting, ceramics, and sculpture.He has been an Associate Professor of Art at the University of Nevada, Reno since 1989. The lecture will begin at 5:50 pm in Trahern 401.
