“I am an artist presently attending APSU and in my final year for my Bachelor of Fine Arts. I create art as I am driven to do so. I aspire to create art works that, with expressive line and color, tell a narrative that will impact the viewer in an emotional way, allowing them to connect to both the piece and me as the artist.”

The show focuses on two aspects. First, the personal perspective of the artist. She has chosen subjects that had an impact in shaping the person she has become, such as growing up on a farm, having a miscarriage, and the unique qualities of being female.

The second aspect is the literal meaning of point of view. The compositions are non-traditional, inviting the viewer to see the subject in a new light. Some pieces, such as “Legs” are drawn from the perspective of the artist looking down, evaluating herself.

The opening and reception will be held in Trahern Gallery 108 (downstairs in the Trahern building) on November 17th from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
