Gabrielle Bomar is a student at Austin Peay State University working towards her bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Photography. Her work has also been shown at APSU 43rd Annual Student Art Exhibition, Fleur-de-Lis as the featured artist, APSU More Cowbell Annual Student Exhibition, and the U.S. Bank Exhibition. She was awarded the Friends of Photography scholarship and the Northington Memorial Art scholarship for 2012.
According to the artist, “Recently, I have been experimenting with adding color to my photographs. I find the technique of hand-coloring intriguing. I experiment with media such as toners, Marshall’s photo oils, acrylic paint and colored pencils. The hand-coloring process requires concentration and attention to detail, which I find calming.”
The Framemaker is located at the corner of North Second Street and Georgia Avenue, across from The Clarksville Academy.
